We have identified four funds available for predator control groups in Otago.
Other funding options may be found on Generosity New Zealand, an online portal which provides a comprehensive list of funds (not just on conservation). It is available on a subscription basis or it can be accessed free through your local library (you just need your library card).
- ECO fund — a fund that supports work that protects and enhances Otago’s environment.
- Trustpower Lend A Hand Foundation — this fund assists small charitable organisations and individuals in Dunedin and Central Otago by providing funding, mentoring or through the provision of goods/services. Funds of up to $2000.
- Central Lakes Trust — supports projects in the Central Lakes district that are beneficial to the community. The funding amount given varies.
- Dunedin City Council Biodiversity Fund — supports landowners and communities to protect, manage and enhance indigenous biodiversity across Dunedin city. Funds of up to $5000.
