Orana Wildlife ParkProvide an LEOTC education programme with qualified teachers providing custom written, interactive learning experiences for students ranging from Year 1 to Year 13. Programmes for visiting schools are adapted to requested topic/themes and generally include conservation advocacy and a visit to at least one native species exhibit.Year 1 - 10 $8.10.

Arthur's Pass Outdoor Education CentreThe YMCA offers primary and secondary school students an experiential learning through engaging, effective and enjoyable outdoor activities and well cared for accommodation. They provide a programme designed around what each school wants to learn and includes a guided walk. $60 per person per night 24 hours - includes programme, food (to prepare) and lodge accommodation. Willowbank Wildlife ReserveWillowbank welcomes school groups to experience many different species up close, including native birds and their famous Kiwi house. Option to add on a Keeper Talk with a focus on endangered species, sustainability, habitats, kiwi or kea. Allow 1.5-2 hours.Years 0-8: $6.00 per student

NZ Conservation TrustTours at their kiwi breeding centre based at Willowbank Wildlife Reserve (Sept/Oct to March/April). Meet newly hatched chicks and learn all about the Operation Nest Egg Programmes. Tour takes up to 1 hour. Can also visit schools with a live tuatara and talk about kiwi and tuatara (or other preferred species).
