This is inspiring stuff! “A war waged on rats and stoats could make a Marlborough coastal community New Zealand’s first predator-free town.

Environmental group Picton Dawn Chorus has received financial backing from the Marlborough District Council to roll out nearly $18,000 worth of traps.

The group is aiming to install around 400 lethal traps in people’s backyards targeting rats, stoats and possums, and up to 300 traps in the bush surrounding Picton. Heather Simpson – http://www.stuff.co.nz
