Double set box with DOC 200 traps — how to prevent double spring offs

I’ve found cutting the entire base of the tunnel between the two traps (ie width-wise across the tunnel) isolates the traps and reduces double triggering. Has anyone else made similar modifications to try and fix this problem?

I have found the best way to prevent double spring offs , is to make sure that box is firmly secured to the ground. This can be done by slightly digging in or settling into the ground or putting a heavy weight on the lid and if possible staking it to the ground. And yes to your question “has anyone tried cutting the box in half”. I tried it when first developing the trap and found that it’s better to have 2 single sets.spaced apart than a double. It’s great to see people out there still working on improvements. Keep up the good work. Cheers. Phill Waddington.
